Thermocene: Speculations on Warmer Worlds

What might life look like when heat begins to change the terms of everyday life? As familiar seasons shift, the ways we live, work and relate to one another may prove impossible. But the futures we arrive at are shaped by the choices we make today. While some futures may seem inevitable, the seeds of radically different ones can be sown in the present.

In this workshop, we’ll step into a future shaped by heat and explore the choices that emerge for the people living in it. What ways of living will need to adapt or change? What will be worth holding on to, and what might we have to leave behind? And how might the choices we make today open up different possibilities for tomorrow?
