This session brings citizens, urban practitioners, researchers, and civil society actors together in a shared, reflective exercise on shaping the quality of life in their cities. With guidance from the facilitators, participants will decide what they want to see improve in their city (employment, mobility, climate resilience, etc.) and create their own action plan by identifying the decisions, budgets, and authorities they think are necessary to make their vision a reality.

Through perception polls, problem depictions, and discussions with sector experts, the workshop aims to build a shared understanding of how urban governance shapes quality of life. Drawing on Janaagraha’s expertise in municipal budgets and city action plans, participants will explore what it takes to deliver the outcomes they want for their cities over the next two decades.
